Oh to be a rock and not to roll...

Mon May 9, 2005, 9:55 AM
Mood: Dancing Happily Surprised
Listening to: Led Zeppelin - Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Reading: Jay Rayner - Eating Crow
Watching: Crash

It's 1:30 and I just rolled out of bed. First off. A huge thank you for Evan (` londonxpress). I woke up and found an e-mail saying he bought me a month subscription. I thought I was still sleeping, haha. Thank you Evan. It's very appreciated.

On Saturday I was out for a 3 hour rollerblade run and came across a marijuana march thing around Old Montreal. This is my first year in the city so I don't exactly know what it was but I had my camera with me so I snapped off about 50+ photojournalistic shots. I'm going to sort through them tonight and possibly post one or two. Also, I'm going to finish putting the Yellow Study and Blue Study together and get those up tonight as well. But for now it's time to get some cleaning done around the apartment and get ready for the day.

Also, if you get a chance to see the movie Crash, I highly recommend it. It's brilliantly done.

Take care everyone.

What I'm working on:

Blue Study - Scanning/Aligning
Yellow Study - Scanning/Aligning
Shots from around town - Sorting

What's in the CD player:

Led Zeppelin - II
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Alkaline Trio - Crimson
Pearl Jam - Ten
The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee

Hey kid. Your photos are just wonderful. They made me ponder, something I do way too much in my life right now. Hmm, what else? Montreal is a beautiful city, people should never leave there, else they might miss something. I like the central cathedral there. The one downtown. It's lovely. I wish I could go back, maybe I will next summer...who knows. [The Mars Volta is a brilliant band. Probably one of the most brilliant of the modern music scene. So original. Got something to say. Good.]

Thank you very much for the compliments. I'm glad you like my photography.
Pondering is always good, one can never do too much.
I'm in love with Montreal, it's my first year in the city and I think I'm going to be staying a long time.
You're very correct with the Volta, they're actually playing here tomorrow night (or I guess it's tonight now, it being almost 2am on Thursday morning now). I'm just really hoping my buddy picked up a ticket for me.
I'll catch you around. Cheers. :)

Cheers to you! The Mars Volta aren't coming to Seattle, and it is a sad day indeed. And will continue to be one for quite some time. You should stay in Montreal for some time. I stayed there a month last summer and had a wonderful time drinking underaged around the swimming pool, and being beaten by little french kids. How joyful. Take care.
